David Engineer Vision
Chicago, IL
I'm a software engineer, multimedia artist, business owner, and father.
At some point, it became clear that AI is going to destroy software engineering jobs at worst, and transform them into something unrecognizable at best, likely paying much less and needing far fewer workers. Feeling a great sense of insecurity and uncertainty for what I thought was my lifelong career, I decided to finally bite the bullet and begin work on my own business. I'm currently building out several software products for my business, Faint Sense, primarily apps that will be useful for my family, as well as explorations of my personal interests.
When I'm not focusing my most productive time on the business, I also enjoy listening to and writing music, gaming, cooking, and scrolling endless feeds of content related to my favorite topics, including music devices, coffee gear, cooking tips, software development, AI, VR/XR, home construction, and reviews/analysis of my favorite TV/film. Oh, also aliens are real now?
Thanks for taking some time to check in with me! Considering everyone will die and be forgotten eventually, it really is a special thing that I'm on your mind for any amount of time at all. Feel free to keep checking back. I'm planning to update my blog with random thoughts, and this website in general with various interests of mine. This is my own little corner of the internet, after all.
And just in case anyone is wondering, everything written here is written by me. Not AI. This is one of few places I get to just be myself. I might let it take care of some code for me though.
Curious to see more of my thoughts? Check out my blog.

Thoughts and opinions on my interests, experiences, and anything really. I assume these are being shot out into the ether, where no one will ever see them. But in the off chance that you're someone who's actually taking the time to read through these, hello! And thank you for making my time spent here worth something. Hope you enjoy!
